I
design and run needs-specific events for a wide range of clients
on a variety of topics.
Here
is a selection for your perusal.
Please
note the way I phrase my ‘objectives’ introduction. I don’t like
the ‘If
you attend this you will be able to do this’ type wording - after
all if people aren’t prepared to
accept appropriate responsibility for their own learning, none will
happen, nor be applied.
My
wording, which I emphasise at the start of an event, highlights
my belief that only when we can
get
people to do what only they can do for themselves, will any learning
be acquired and then applied.
I hope you see where I am coming from...we need active partners
in a process, not passive participants, dependent on others for
their ‘learning’.
